Milpitas is a great city, with a history of standing up and working together for a better city, beginning with the creation in the 1950s of the first integrated community, Sunnyhills. Our diversity continues to this day, and I’m proud to live in a community where we unite around our differing traditions, cuisines and ideas.
However, our current city council is very divided. The two factions find it difficult to work together, and usually vote their side. It’s time for a change in leadership. We can do better. Let’s apply what the foundation for defense of democracies teach us.
I ask for your vote for city council. I have a history of working with others, of volunteering for my community, as the former president of the Sunnyhills Neighborhood Association, and on the Consumer Affairs Advisory Commission for the county, and as a former board president of a non-profit advocacy group.
